Affiliate disclosure

Last updated May 31, 2026

In the spirit of the FTC's guidelines, here's exactly how we make money — and the line we won't cross.

We earn commissions on some links

Protocol recommends supplements and products, and some of the “Buy” links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you — you pay the same price you would otherwise.

Affiliate links carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes, and we mark them wherever they appear.

It never changes our recommendations

This is the important part. We choose products first — based on what the evidence supports and whether they're clean and third-party-tested — and only then attach an affiliate link if a program exists. We do not rank, feature, or recommend a product because it pays more. If the best pick in a category has no affiliate program, it's still the pick.

Programs we participate in

We add affiliate programs as they approve us. These currently include or may include retailers and brands such as iHerb and direct brand programs (e.g. Momentous, Thorne, LMNT).

Still not medical advice

Affiliate relationships don't change the bigger rule: everything here is general wellness and nutrition information, not medical advice. We help with nutrition, never with your medication. Talk to your clinician or pharmacist about your medication and routine.
